October 25

The history of Octopus Day dates back to 2003, making 2010 (the 8th year -- think octopus) an important year.

As an unofficial motto: "Any day can be as exciting as Octopus day!"

Explanation: With all the holidays nowadays, Octopus Day was a needed addition. If one can create a random holiday to be excited about, anyone can embrace any day of the year with the fervor needed to make it a go-with-the-flow, awe-inspiring day.

To that end, traditionally we celebrate Octopus Day with a day of celebration and eating seafood. In recent years, it is celebrated through eating homemade sushi.
